Born
and raised in Washington, D.C., Rev. Caryn Allen is the only child of
Peggy Allen and the late Joseph Allen. She was educated in the DC
Public
School System and began her career as a Human Resources Specialist
in the Federal Government in 1979.
Rev. Caryn accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized
at an early age. Faced with life’s many challenges, she found it difficult
to remain steadfast in her Christian walk. However, on October 20,
1991, Rev. Caryn joined Cornerstone Peaceful Bible Baptist Church and received
her true deliverance from the enemy’s strongholds in her life.
In 2000, Rev. Caryn was diagnosed with breast cancer and was given little
to no chance of surviving. Seven years later, Rev. Caryn now stands as a
breast cancer conqueror and as a witness to God’s miraculous healing
power. During her illness, she stood on the scripture found in Psalm
118:17 and it has become her personal testimony: “I shall not die,
but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Rev. Caryn says “I always
knew that I had a purpose in life but wasn’t sure what that purpose
entailed. It wasn’t until July 2004 that it became clear.”Mark 16:17-18
is Rev. Caryn’s greatest desire is to see people delivered and set free
by the power of the Holy Ghost and to walk in divine health.
She currently serves as a Deaconess on the Deaconess Board and is
a member of the following ministries: More Than Conquerors, Singles,
W.O.R.D. Women of Rare Distinction™, and the Fitness and Health Ministry.
Rev. Caryn is the proud mother of two daughters, Charmayne Nicole Allen
and Amber Renai Woolridge, and the proud grandmother of Christian Nathaniel
Allen, Jerome Dante Woolridge, Chariti Naomi Allen, and Kalani Romelle
Allen.
