Annette Michelle Vaughn was born in Chicago, Illinois where she attended school and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. As a youth, she enjoyed attending Sunday School and Bible Study. In 1985, she moved to Maryland, continued her education and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bowie State University. She is currently seeking her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Acquisitions.
In 2004, the Lord led Annette to join Cornerstone Peaceful Bible Baptist Church and she rededicated her life to the Lord. As an active member of Cornerstone, God has made room for her gifts as a member of Women of Rare Distinction, (Cornerstone’s Women’s Ministry), Intercessory Ministry, Deaconess, Youth Ministry Leader/Teacher, and Sunday School Teacher. Annette also teaches within Cornerstone’s Outreach Ministry at a local detention center for girls where she gives her personal testimony of God’s faithfulness in her life inside and outside of detention center walls.
Annette is a chosen vessel of God for such a time as this. She answered the call of the Lord to public ministry at Cornerstone and she is a living testimony that there is no respect of persons with God, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”, Jeremiah 29:11. Her prayer is that God speaks through her to transform lives in the deep places that only God can heal.
Annette is the mother of two beautiful young women of God, Asia Mae’l and Erika Renee, and grandmother to adorable Skylar Brianne. To God be all the glory for the best is yet to come!
