Reverend Ellery Brown
was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior as a child around age 10.
His singing gift was recognized at age seven, and he grew up
singing at various churches with his brothers and sisters.
Rev. Ellery has been a
member of Cornerstone since November 1996.
He has served on the Praise and Worship Team, and has written
original praise songs sung at Cornerstone including “Yes, He’s Been
Good” and “God, I’m Giving You Glory.”
He has also served as a youth leader and as an intercessor.
A turning point in his
life came at age 14 when he baptized with the Holy Spirit. Five years later, at age 19, he first heard the call to
minister the Gospel. He
compares himself to the biblical character, Jonah, in that he ran from
God's call to preach for many years.
Rev. Ellery accepted his call to the ministry and was licensed to
preach the gospel in August 2003.
One of Rev. Ellery’s
greatest desires is to see unity and maturity in the Body of Christ.
He is looking for Jesus to do great things through the preaching
and teaching of God’s Word, and he realizes that God’s mercy and grace
enables him to serve his Lord and Savior.
Rev. Ellery is married
to Mrs. Linda Brown
