Rev.
Lisa Worley was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to Brodie Lambert
and the late Gloria Stewart Lambert. She is the youngest girl of
five siblings and was educated in the North Carolina Public school
system. After high school graduation, Rev. Lisa
attended Elon University for one year and later decided to join
the U.S. Navy where she
received two years of extensive Wide Area Network training. Upon
traveling for 8½ years to many parts of the world, Rev. Lisa
decided to end her military career here in the Washington, DC area.
Although Rev. Lisa
grew up in and attended church regularly, she didn’t know what it
took to be saved. On December 6, 1996, she accepted Christ
and joined Cornerstone Peaceful Baptist Church. Currently, she is an
active member of the Trustee and Deaconess Boards.
Rev. Lisa was the ministry leader for the Singles ministry from 2000-2002
leading the way to be “Single and Satisfied”. She received her call
to public ministry in 2001 and in God’s perfect timing, she has surrendered
and accepted the call.
Rev. Lisa is married to a mighty man of God, Ray Worley, and they have
two beautiful daughters, Reghan Grace and Rashondra Lavette.
Rev. Lisa’s favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 - “Trust in the Lord with
all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all
thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” She looks
forward to being a vessel that God can use to deliver and set the captives
free.
