Talaya S. Simpson was born and raised in the Washington Metropolitan Area. She gave her life to the Lord in 1990 while attending Full Gospel A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was a member of the Young Adult Outreach Ministry, served as a Children’s Church teacher, lay speaker, and other capacities. She also briefly attended

where she was active in the Youth, Young Adult, and Drama Ministries.

in August 2004 during a Youth Day Service. When she saw their passion for the Lord, she knew this was the place God wanted her and her children to be. Talaya currently serves as a Youth Leader, Youth Bible Study teacher, and an Intercessor. She also ministers at Waxter’s Facility for Girls in
Laurel
. Her passion is to live a life poured out, where God uses every aspect of her past, present, and future to help bring His Word to life that every captive will be set free and God’s people will reach their full potential. Writer. Speaker. Orator. Friend. Her motto has been, “Lord, I will go where you tell me to go, do what you tell me to do, and say what you tell me to say. Here am I, send me.”
Talaya is the oldest of five siblings, daughter of Brenda Morgan and Robert Osborne-Bey. She’s a devoted mother to two of the greatest children this side of heaven: Phebe Elizabeth and Caleb William.
