 Reverend Vanessa Alexander-Tisdale was born and raised in
Brooklyn, New York. She committed her life to the Lord Jesus Christ during
her adolescent years at Alexander Temple Holiness Church, Brooklyn, New
York. Vanessa holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from York College, and a Masters
in Public Health.
Rev. Vanessa and her family joined the
Cornerstone Peaceful Bible Baptist Church family in November 1998. She
accepted her call to public ministry December 2000 after receiving a
powerful Word from God at the WORD (Women Of Rare Distinction)
prayer breakfast. She
preached her initial sermon in October 2003 and was licensed to the gospel
ministry.
Rev. Vanessa actively serves as a
member of the WORD ministry, the Apple and Seed Ministry, the Supernatural
Replenishers, and the Outreach Ministry.
Rev. Vanessa is married to Bro.
Anthony Tisdale and together they have one daughter,
Vaniya Anthay Tisdale. Vaniya
is the miracle that she experienced after many years of waiting for this
promise from God!
Rev. Vanessa has endured many
situations that should have shaken her faith; instead, she used her life
experiences as a testimony to shed light in the lives of others.
The scripture that she holds dear to her heart is Psalms
62:1-2 “ My Soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from
him. He alone is my rock and
my salvation; he is my fortress I will never be shaken.”(NIV)
